University Technical Colleges are a new sector within secondary education, designed to bridge the gap between the needs of employers and the national curriculum. Students aged 14 to 18 have the opportunity to specialise in subjects like IT or Construction with a special emphasis on placements with local companies to boost their employability skills and experience.
The Buckinghamshire UTC in Aylesbury was among the first of the UTCs to open in the UK and has quickly won an excellent reputation for providing high quality teaching, facilities and opportunities for young people.
A year after opening, J motion was commissioned to create a “Video Prospectus”, comprising a series of short profile interviews with students, staff, employer-partners and parents to provide a personal testimony of the UTC’s story.
In addition, we cherry-picked highlights from these interviews to create a high impact introductory promotional video to take pride of place on the College’s website and You Tube channel.
This is amazing – thank you so much, I think you have scored that hole in one for sure. There is nothing that I would like to change – I think you have captured the culture and ethos of the UTC perfectly.
Bev Flanagan, Principal, Buckinghamshire UTC
