Project Details

Britain’s dairy farmers are getting caught up in the supermarket price wars and risk losing their herds because they are being paid less than the cost of production for every pint of milk.

J motion was approached by Rozila Kana, the prospective Conservative parliamentary candidate for Workington in Cumbria, to create a high impact web advert. The aim was to highlight the issue and raise public awareness that dairy farming faces extinction unless supermarkets start paying a realistic price for British milk.

We developed an idea based around a single cow – Daisy – getting caught up in a tug-of-war with the supermarkets, represented by three men in suits. Clever editing enabled us to create a dramatic portrayal of the plight of British dairy-farmers to help launch the “I speak 4 Daisy” campaign on social media. Within 48 hours, the campaign had gone viral with thousands of views via a dedicated Facebook page.
